France’s world cup winning star, Paul Pogba is about to rejoin Italian giants Juventus on a four-year deal that will see him remain in Italy until 2026.
The Frenchman, who elapsed his six-year contract at Old Trafford last month, snubbed advances from Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain to rejoin Bianconeri.
Aside from the Spanish and French topflight clubs, English topflight club, Manchester City were also on his trail but the rivalry with Erik ten Hag’s side could not allow the admiration of Pep Guardiola for the midfielder to materialise.
However, Manchester City had to turn towards Leeds Kalvin Phillips as Fernandinho’s replacement which has allayed any possible intention the last season’s Premier League winners would have Pogba.
However, before the close of the last season, the 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a move back to reunite with Massimiliano Allegri at Allianz Stadium and in the coming day would be undergoing his medical.
Reportedly, the player featuring in either of the defensive and central midfield positions would have completed the move to Italy but a delay in the commercial agreement such as image rights militated against the deal.
