Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State have applauded President Bola Tinubu for employing thousands of youths in the Niger Delta through the pipeline surveillance contract awarded to Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSL) to protect oil and gas facilities in the region.

The party also commended the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo (SAN), and the Chairman of TSSL, Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, for their pivotal roles in ensuring that Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ is achieved.

The commendation is contained in a statement signed by the leaders of the party, including the Delta APC Chairman, Elder Omoni Sobotie, Senator Ede Dafinone, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, Senator Ned Nwoko and the founding leader of Delta APC, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor.

Others who signed the statement are Rep. Francis Waive, former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Victor Ochei, Olorogun Morrison Olori, Stella Okotete, Doris Uboh, Sir Richard Odibo, Halims Agoda, Chief Michael Johnny, Chris Oghenechovwe, and Chief Evans Omatsoguwa.

The Delta APC leaders noted that President Tinubu’s decision to sustain the pipeline surveillance contract has helped to provide job opportunities and integrated the people of the Niger Delta, particularly Deltans, at the grassroots level into the Renewed Hope Agenda of the APC-led administration.

The APC leaders asserted that the pipeline surveillance contract initiative is a vital step in promoting national security, economic stability, and sustainable growth.

“The decision to involve our youths in such a crucial aspect of the nation’s security infrastructure speaks volumes about the inclusivity of the Tinubu administration and its commitment to ensuring that the benefits of governance reach all Nigerians.

“We also commend the minister of aviation for his diligent leadership in the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, as well as his continued efforts in promoting the growth of the Nigerian economy through innovative partnerships.

“His role in making this opportunity available to our youths reflects his dedication to both addressing youth restiveness and their upliftment in Delta State.

“We appreciate Chief Government Ekpemupolo and the management of Tantita Surveillance Services for their collaboration in ensuring the success of this initiative. Their professionalism and commitment to the nation’s progress are evident in their efforts to partner with the government for better security and resource management.

“We recognise that collaboration between the Federal government and private entities like Tantita Security Services is essential for enhancing our national security framework, particularly in the oil and gas sector, given its importance in our nation’s economy.

“This partnership serves as a model for future initiatives aimed at addressing the day-to-day challenges faced by the people of the Niger Delta region,” the statement added.

The APC leaders further passed a vote of confidence on Tinubu, stressing that he has the unwavering support of the people of Delta State as he continues to provide the right leadership that is already propelling Nigeria on the part of progress and economic development.

“As we move forward, Delta APC reaffirms our unwavering support for the policies and programmes of President Bola Tinubu, which continue to shape a prosperous and secure future for our country.

“We remain committed to the ideals of the Renewed Hope Agenda, and we look forward to more opportunities that will positively impact Deltans and the wider Nigerian populace.

“We call upon the people of Delta State to be wholeheartedly committed and remain steadfast in their dedication to actively participate in the various opportunities that arise from the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, by working collaboratively with the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo (SAN), and all stakeholders to ensure that Delta State continues to thrive,” the party leaders said.
