Pi Network has officially extended the Grace Period deadline from January 31, 2025, to February 28, 2025, giving Pioneers additional time to complete their KYC verification and Mainnet migration. This decision aims to promote inclusivity and ensure more users can secure their Pi before the Open Network launch.

Key Highlights of the Grace Period Extension:

✅ New Deadline: Pioneers now have until February 28, 2025, to complete KYC and migrate to Mainnet.
✅ No Impact on Open Network Launch: The extension does not delay Open Network, which remains on track for Q1 2025.
✅ Forfeiture Risk: Failure to complete KYC and migration by the deadline means losing most of your Mobile Balance, except for Pi mined in the last six months before migration.

Why Did Pi Network Extend the Grace Period?

The extension aligns with Pi Network’s mission of accessibility and fairness, ensuring all Pioneers have an equal opportunity to join the Mainnet before Open Network. Here’s why this extra month is critical:
1. Inclusivity & Fairness: More time for Pioneers to complete KYC and avoid losing their hard-earned Pi.
2. Preparation for Open Network: A stronger Mainnet with more verified users leads to a more secure and scalable ecosystem.
3. Addressing Special Cases: The extension helps those facing KYC-related issues without disrupting network growth.

What You Need to Do Now

Complete Your KYC & Mainnet Migration:
Open the Pi app and navigate to the Mainnet Checklist.
Follow all required steps, including liveness checks and token acknowledgment.
Check your KYC app and take any prompted actions to finalize verification.
Remind Your Team:
Encourage your Referral Team and Security Circle members to meet their deadlines, as their migration also impacts your transferable balance.

Why Is the Grace Period So Important?

The Grace Period is crucial for ensuring a real, human-driven, and decentralized Pi Network. It serves the following purposes:
1. Verifying Identities: KYC is required to move Pi to the blockchain, preventing fraud and bot activity.
2. Encouraging Migration: A structured deadline incentivizes timely participation while allowing enough time for all users.
3. Boosting Pi Utility: Pioneers who migrate can use Pi for payments, transactions, and applications within the growing Pi ecosystem.
4. Maintaining Network Integrity: Preventing unverified Pi from impacting the Mainnet ensures long-term network stability.
This one-month extension is another major step toward building a robust, decentralized financial network. Whether you’re an early adopter or a new Pioneer, this is your last chance to migrate and secure your Pi balance before Open Network launches.
Act now—February 28, 2025, is your final opportunity!
Stay updated and don’t miss out—share this with your fellow Pioneers!
