Josephine “Phyna” Otabor, the winner of BBNaija Level Up, has addressed a misunderstanding stemming from a viral video that implied she had not received her ₦100 million grand prize.
She revealed that the situation nearly led to significant legal issues for her.
Earlier this week, a clip from one of Phyna’s Twitch livestreams circulated online, igniting discussions about whether she was still claiming she had not been paid her prize money.
Many viewers, reacting to just the brief clip, mistakenly believed the reality star was expressing concerns about the ₦100 million she won some time ago.
In response, Phyna quickly clarified the matter during a subsequent livestream, asserting that her remarks were taken out of context.
“They keep editing my video. I never said I haven’t received my N100 million. I was simply responding to people who asked if the N100 million has run out,” she clarified.
She explained that her comments were directed at social media users questioning her focus on streaming despite having won the grand prize years ago.

Phyna noted that the edited video almost reignited a legal dispute with MultiChoice, the organizers of BBNaija, who were reportedly unhappy with the misleading content.
“I told them to watch the full video. It was cut. People are doing this intentionally,” she stated.
The reality star also issued a strong warning to bloggers and social media accounts that edit her videos to misrepresent her words.
“Anyone who edits my video to distort it—if it causes any issues, I will take legal action,” she warned.
Phyna encouraged fans and the public to always seek the complete context before reacting to viral videos.
She emphasized that her relationship with BBNaija and her prize money has been resolved for a long time, and she has since moved on to new endeavors, including her streaming career.
