The controversy began after a user on X (formerly Twitter), identified as Ademola Ogudu, shared a derogatory comment about the singer’s deceased mother, sparking widespread outrage online.
Reacting to the post, Okoye condemned the remarks as hurtful and unacceptable, demanding an immediate takedown and a public apology from the individual responsible.

The incident has since attracted significant reactions across social media, with many Nigerians expressing support for Okoye and condemning the offensive post as insensitive and inappropriate.
