The first Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi Central, Kevin Chukwu, has expressed confidence that the party would regain its political strength and perform better in the 2027 general elections.
Chukwu, who also serves as a member of the PDP national zoning committee, gave the assurance while interacting with newsmen on Friday.
He described zoning as the bedrock of equity, fairness, political stability, and internal democracy.
“Yesterday, I had the honour of being inaugurated into the PDP national zoning committee at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja. This responsibility comes at a critical time for our party, our state, and our country.
“The zoning committee is the foundation upon which internal equity, fairness, and political stability are built. By ensuring our zoning reflects justice and inclusivity, we are setting the stage for a united front ahead of 2027,” Chukwu said.
The PDP chieftain reaffirmed his belief that the party would bounce back stronger in the next electoral cycle, stressing that its resilience lies in its grassroots structures, its ability to listen to the people, and its commitment to offering credible alternatives to the present administration.

“The work begins now reorganizing, reconciling, and mobilizing from the wards to the national level,” he added.
Chukwu urged party members in Ebonyi State to remain steadfast and resist distractions from impostors or anti-party agents.
“The future belongs to the disciplined, the consistent, and the united. Now is the time to engage actively in our wards, participate in party programs, and strengthen our base for the great victory ahead,” he charged.
Addressing the youths of Ebonyi Central zone and the entire state, Chukwu promised to create more opportunities for their active involvement in politics, governance, and economic development.
“Your energy, innovation, and courage are the engine of our political future. Together, we will write a new chapter for Ebonyi and for Nigeria,” he said.
