The leadership and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ward 3, Ozoro, headquarters of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, have passed a vote of confidence on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, for his accomplishments in the governance of the state.
The party also lauded the member representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Jonathan Ukodhiko, the member representing Isoko North State Constituency, in the state House of Assembly, Bernard Odior, and the Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council, Godwin Ogorugba, for their impressive performance in office thus far.
The endorsement was made during a strategic enlarged meeting of Ward 3, held on Sunday, at the country home of the former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rep. Leo Ogor.
The motion for the endorsement was moved by Emmanuel Inonoje, was seconded by Sylvester Imonina, and put to vote by the PDP state Organising Secretary, Emmanuel Egbabor, and was unanimously adopted.
The meeting, which had in attendance several key PDP figures, was convened to assess the party’s direction in Isokoland and reaffirm the commitment of its leaders to the cause of the party.
In a communique released at the end of the meeting, the party leaders and members declared their confidence in the leadership qualities and developmental strides of Gov. Oborevwori, praising his More Agenda, which they said has begun to yield tangible benefits across the state.
Rep. Jonathan Ukodhiko, representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, was also lauded for his accessibility and effective representation, particularly his pushing for infrastructural development and youth empowerment initiatives.
