The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the National Working Committee (NWC) has officially affirmed Rt. Hon. S.K.E Udeh Okoye as the substantive National Secretary of the party. The decision, made during the NWC meeting on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, follows a careful review of legal documents and court rulings.
According to the party, the confirmation is in strict compliance with the judgment of the Court of Appeal, which had earlier ruled in favor of Udeh Okoye. The NWC, after extensively examining the Declaratory Judgment of the High Court of Enugu, the ruling of the Court of Appeal, Enugu Division, and legal opinions from Dr. Kabiru T. Turaki (SAN) and the PDP’s National Legal Adviser, concluded that there is no existing court order overturning the appeal court’s decision.
With this resolution, the PDP leadership has begun transmitting its official confirmation of Udeh Okoye as National Secretary to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant authorities. This move is expected to end any internal disputes regarding the position and solidify the party’s leadership structure ahead of critical political engagements.

This confirmation marks a turning point for the PDP as it gears up for future political battles, reinforcing its position as a party built on legal integrity and structured leadership.
