The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially received a letter from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) notifying it of the postponement of its scheduled South-South zonal congress.
The notification, acknowledged by INEC on February 25, 2025, cited operational constraints and unforeseen circumstances as reasons for the delay.
The congress, initially planned as part of a series of zonal congresses across the country to elect new zonal executive committee members, and national ex-officers, will now be rescheduled.
