Ex-Manchester United and Juventus player Paul Pogba is currently in detailed negotiations with Monaco as he aims to make a comeback to football following a doping ban.
The 32-year-old French World Cup champion is progressing towards rejoining a team in his native country with the Ligue 1 club.
According to BBC Sport, the negotiations have centered on Pogba signing a two-year deal with Monaco, who are optimistic about finalizing the agreement within the next few days.
Conversations have been taking place for several weeks, with Pogba engaging in training prior to pre-season as he strategizes his return to playing.

Pogba faced a provisional suspension after a random drug test was conducted during Juventus’ first match in the 2023-24 season against Udinese.
He subsequently received a four-year suspension that was reduced to 18 months in October due to an appeal.
In November, he reached a mutual agreement to end his contract with Juventus, allowing him to restart his career since March.
The final decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport confirmed that Pogba unintentionally consumed DHEA, a substance that enhances testosterone and is prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
Importantly, the ruling indicated that DHEA only affects female performance.
