Operatives of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) have apprehended the General Overseer of Omega Prophetic Prayer Ministry, Sapele, Pastor Daniel Ololo, following allegations of defilement, rape, and sexual exploitation of female members of his congregation.
His arrest followed a petition submitted to the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, on October 13, 2025. Acting on the petition, the Commissioner directed the SCID to carry out a detailed investigation, which led to the pastor’s arrest on November 17 at the church premises.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, investigators uncovered that the pastor allegedly manipulated vulnerable members through fabricated prophecies. He reportedly convinced them that engaging in sexual acts with him was necessary for their deliverance. Among the victims were three sisters, all members of his church, with the youngest being 17 years old. Ololo is currently in custody as investigations continue.
In a separate incident in Agbor, police have arrested one Michael Ezenwai after he attempted to sell a mobile phone believed to have been stolen. The arrest came after the Divisional Police Officer received a report on October 24, 2025, prompting the swift deployment of officers who picked up the suspect on the spot.

During questioning, Ezenwai initially claimed he brought the device from Libya. However, the phone rang while he was in custody, and the caller identified the owner as her sister, one Christabel Egedefe. Acting on this lead, the DPO and his team visited Christabel’s residence, where they discovered her lifeless body.
Confronted with the findings, the suspect confessed to killing Christabel. He first attempted to implicate her father but later retracted the claim. He eventually admitted that he had broken into her home on October 23, 2025, and murdered her when she resisted his attempt to steal her motorcycle and mobile phones.
Further checks revealed that Ezenwai is a notorious criminal linked to past violent crimes. Preliminary investigations suggest that he was part of the gang responsible for the 2020 rape and murder of Uwaila Omozuwa, a UNIBEN student attacked while studying in a church. He also confessed to escaping from the Oko Correctional Centre during the #EndSARS prison break of 2020.
He remains in custody, while police broaden their investigation into his criminal network.
