Veteran Nollywood actor Kayode Olasehinde Ajirebi, popularly known as Pa James, has shared positive reflections on his experience working with Wale Adenuga, amid renewed conversations surrounding the Papa Ajasco and Company series.
His comments come shortly after fellow veteran actor Richard Ayoyinka also recounted his experience portraying the character Papa Ajasco.
In a recent interview with Lucky Udu, Pa James confirmed that he remains open to working with Wale Adenuga Productions whenever the opportunity arises, describing their professional relationship as cordial and dependable.
He further addressed concerns about payments in the industry, noting that the production company consistently honours its financial commitments and does not owe actors, even for brief engagements such as meetings.
Reflecting on his long-standing involvement in the popular comedy series, he expressed gratitude for the platform, saying the project went on far longer than he initially expected.
Pa James also revealed that his role in the series brought him financial stability, enabling him to make personal investments, including the purchase of a car.
The conversation during the interview went as follows:

Pa James: “He is a great man. I still work with them. Whenever they call, I am always available.
When he first approached me about Papa Ajasco, I thought it would only last for a short period, maybe two or three weeks, but it turned out to be a long-running project.
They never owe us any money. Whatever work we do, we get paid. Even for meetings, no matter how brief, he compensates us.
I was very happy when we marked the 25th anniversary of Papa Ajasco.”
Interviewer: “What would you say is your greatest achievement from being part of the show?”
Pa James: “I am grateful to God. The benefits have been immense. Financially, the project has been very rewarding. I was able to buy a car through my work on Papa Ajasco.”
