American musician and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to be released from prison a month and a half earlier than initially anticipated.
The US Federal Bureau of Prisons has updated his release date from June 4 to April 25, 2028, according to UNN, referencing Page Six.
Reports indicate that this change is due to Combs’ involvement in a specialized drug addiction rehabilitation program, which he joined in November 2025.
A representative for the artist stated that “Mr. Combs is serious about rehabilitation, actively participates in the program, and is dedicated to making positive changes.”
Interestingly, his prison sentence was previously extended in November 2025, shifting from May 8 to June 4, 2028, due to alleged violations of prison rules.
Currently serving his sentence at Fort Dix in New Jersey, Combs is also working to appeal his four-year sentence.

His legal team filed an appeal last December, seeking either a complete overturn of the verdict or a reduction in the sentence, arguing that the judge imposed an “excessively harsh sentence” that infringed on the defendant’s constitutional rights.
In response, the prosecution filed an objection to the appeal in February.
It was earlier reported that Sean Combs, who received a 50-month prison sentence for charges related to organizing prostitution, is expected to be moved from a Brooklyn detention center to a federal prison.
