In a heated dispute within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), concerned members from Oyede Federal Ward 12 in Delta State’s Isoko North Local Government Area are demanding the reinstatement of their ward’s Executive Committee, originally recognized by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP.
Leading party members, including Chief Othuke Otunumeruke and Joel Orute, have given the Delta State PDP Chairman a 14-day deadline to reinstate the recognized ward executives or face legal action. In a formal letter, the group expressed their frustration over alleged marginalization and exclusion from key caucus meetings where critical decisions affecting Ward 12 are made.

The concerned members, represented by Principal Counsel B.E. Umukoro, accused the Isoko North PDP Chairman, Hon. Benard Idisi, of swearing in a list of executives that differs from the one approved by both the LGA PDP and the NWC. The officially recognized list, signed by the National Organizing Secretary, reflects a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that mandates leadership rotation between Wards 18 and 19 for balanced representation and unity within Oyede Federal Ward 12.
