The Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun State, Mutiu Agboke, has announced that there are still 360,794 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) that have remained uncollected.
Agboke said this during a news conference in Osogbo, where he discussed the INEC preparations for the upcoming Osun 2026 governorship election and the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) process.
He explained that there are a total of 1,954,800 registered voters in the state, which means a significant number are missing their voter cards.

He encouraged the media to help spread the word and motivate people to register and pick up their PVCs.
“We need your support for two important upcoming activities: the Continuous Voter Registration and the governorship election in 2026,” he said.
The voter registration process is set to begin with online registration starting on August 18. In-person registration will follow on August 25 at local government offices throughout Osun, including Modakeke.
Agboke explained that anyone interested in registering can do so on the INEC website. After filling out the online forms, they will need to visit their local INEC office to finalize their registration, which involves taking their photo and fingerprints.
The in-person registration is free and will take place daily from 9 am to 3 pm.
He also mentioned that the official announcement for the 2026 governorship election will be made on August 13, and more information about upcoming events related to the election will be provided according to a schedule from the INEC headquarters.
