The hope of Ousmane Dembele to continue in Camp Nou have raised much dust that questions his loyalty to the club.
The striker, whose contract is due to expire in June, is yet to sign a new one despite Barcelona coach Xavi needing him beyond the date The Trumpet gathered.
The former Borussia Dortmund player has a countless number of times restated that he wants to remain with the Blaugrana due to the amiable relationship he has with Xavi, his coach, but that comes with a clause on his contract terms.
Dembele, supported by his agent, has refused to sign a new contract being offered by Barcelona and this has made some of the members of the club’s management board review the player’s loyalty to the club.
According to Barcelona, Dembele needs to reduce his salary structure if he truly loves to remain at the club.
Additionally, Barcelona says most of his pay will be on incentives that depend on the number of matches played and titles won for the club.

However, there are speculations that the player may decide to leave after June 30 to ply his trade elsewhere with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) among the clubs believed to be interested in the striker.
Barcelona, keen on rebuilding for next season, would not want to lose a player like Dembele who Xavi insists is relevant to the club’s future.
Optionally, Blaugrana may likely turn their attention towards Brazilian Raphinha who plays for Leeds if Dembele decides to quit after his contract expires on June 30.
