Governor Adeyemo Adeleke of Osun State has expressed delight as Stat Sense, an app that manages the state’s debt profile releases a significant data reduction from December 2022 to June 2024, in the domestic and external debt rate of the state.
The app recorded a groundbreaking debt reduction of 42 percent in domestic debt decrease from N148.37 billion to N86.06 billion and an external debt decrease of 15 percent from $91.78 million to $78.17 million within two years (from 2022- 2024).

He stated that the debt decrease was a commitment to his administration’s fiscal responsibility, prudent resource management and sustainable development for the people of Osun State.
Gov. Adeleke added that his administration stayed away from borrowing and instead prioritized initiatives to reduce the state’s financial burden, while maintaining investment in key sectors such as infrastructure education, health, and workers’ welfare.
These efforts, he explained are aimed at fostering long-term growth without compromising the welfare of the citizens.
