Former Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, at his Lagos residence ahead of the latter’s 65th birthday celebration.
The visit, which came a week before Fayose’s birthday on November 15, 2025, was described by observers as a warm display of camaraderie across political lines.
Osinbajo, during the visit, congratulated the former governor on his forthcoming milestone and commended his resilience and steadfastness over the years.
“I came to personally congratulate you on your 65th birthday coming up next week. I may not be available on that day, so I felt it necessary to stop by today to celebrate you in advance,” the former Vice President said.

He described Fayose as “a resilient and steadfast Nigerian who doggedly follows whatever he believes in.”
The meeting, held in a cordial atmosphere, reportedly featured friendly exchanges between the two political leaders, who once stood on opposite sides of Nigeria’s political divide.
Fayose, in turn, expressed appreciation for the gesture, saying he was deeply honoured by Osinbajo’s visit.
The former Ekiti governor will officially mark his 65th birthday on November 15, 2025.
