A woman has been killed by suspected kidnappers in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba state and no fewer than two persons were also confirmed to have been adopted by the kidnappers who struck at the Mile Six area of Jalingo metropolis.
Confirming the report, the police state command said the kidnappers gained access to one Ballanko Alex compound through his fence.
The leadership of the command who spoke through the command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abdullahi Usman, said “It has been confirmed that there was a kidnap in the house of one Balanko Alex in Mile Six area of Jalingo today.
“The kidnappers gained access to the house through the fence killed a female and disappeared with two persons, one person was killed”.
According to him, the command has put in place mechanisms that would enable them to track down the perpetrators.

He beckoned at persons with useful information about the kidnappers to endeavour to reach out to the command.
Some persons from the area who spoke with our reporter stressed the need for the state government to collaborate with the police and other security agencies in order to minimize crime in the state capital and the state at large.
They called the state governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, to use his military background to put in place measures that would frustrate kidnappers from taking advantage of the people.
