Nigerian rap star Olamide has described fellow rapper Odumodublvck as the “Kanye West of Nigerian music,” while also urging fans to remain calm amid ongoing tensions involving Wizkid’s fanbase, popularly known as Wizkid FC.
The controversy began after Odumodublvck shared a photo of Ayo Kuti on X (formerly Twitter), describing it as “amazing.”
The post quickly sparked backlash from Wizkid FC, particularly due to recent online tensions involving Ayo Kuti and supporters of the Afrobeats star.
Some fans reacted strongly, including one who posted an emotional open letter, accusing Odumodublvck of disrespect and threatening to boycott any future collaborations involving the rapper.
The fan also alleged that Odumodublvck had previously referred to Wizkid FC members as “poor and jobless,” further intensifying the outrage.

In the widely circulated message, the fan expressed unwavering loyalty to Wizkid, but insisted they would refuse to support any joint projects with Odumodublvck, regardless of the artist’s involvement.
Amid the backlash, Odumodublvck responded by clarifying his stance.
He expressed appreciation for both Ayo Kuti and Wizkid’s fanbase, urging critics to “pipe low” and emphasising that fans’ streaming support plays a significant role in his success.
Despite his response, reactions remain divided, with some social media users criticising his tone and advising him to channel his grievances into music rather than online exchanges.
