The Ebonyi State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the Amasiri Development Centre coordinator, Anya Baron-Ogbonnia, in connection with the killing of four persons in Okporojo, Edda Local Government Area of the state.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Joshua Ukandu, disclosed while briefing journalists in Abakaliki on Tuesday.
According to him, the arrest followed a joint security operation involving the army, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Ukandu further confirmed that two traditional rulers from the Amasiri community in Afikpo Local Government Area, Onyaidam Bassey and Godfrey Oko-Obi, are currently in police custody in connection with the incident.
He added that 10 other suspects had earlier been arrested as investigations continue.

The police spokesperson explained that the killings were linked to a long-standing land dispute between Okporojo Village in Oso Edda community and their Amasiri neighbours.
He recalled that suspected armed persons from Amasiri allegedly attacked Okporojo Village on January 29, 2026, leading to the death of four persons and the destruction of houses and other property.
Ukandu assured the public that investigations are ongoing, stressing that the command, in collaboration with other security agencies, is committed to ensuring that all those involved are brought to justice.
