Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has ordered the immediate suspension of the Rector and Bursar of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, for six months following allegations of administrative and financial misconduct.
The suspension, approved in his capacity as Visitor to the institution, is aimed at paving the way for an independent and thorough investigation into the allegations raised by the Polytechnic’s Governing Council.
A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Eze Emu, confirmed that Governor Oborevwori also upheld the earlier suspension of the Registrar by the institution’s Governing Council.
According to the statement, the measure became necessary to ensure fairness and transparency in handling the accusations of administrative irregularities and financial breaches involving the school’s top management.
