Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei on his election as President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), describing the victory as a clear acknowledgment of his commitment to the growth and transformation of Nigerian sports.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor praised Ochei for his longstanding contributions to grassroots sports development and his unwavering support for youth empowerment through athletics. He described Ochei as a philanthropist, investor, and sports enthusiast whose passion has continued to inspire emerging talents across the country.
Oborevwori noted that Ochei’s emergence as NTF President reflects the confidence of stakeholders in his leadership and track record of excellence in sports administration. “Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei has, over the years, demonstrated remarkable dedication to grassroots sports, particularly through his sponsorship of wheelchair basketball and the Davnotch National Tennis Open Championship,” he said. “His election is a recognition of his steadfast service to the sporting community and his drive to create opportunities for young athletes.”
