Labour Party (LP), Presidential Candidate Mr Peter Obi has declared that his presidency will place prioritize education for youths, health care delivery and security of lives and property of Nigerians if elected as President come 2023.
Obi made the assertion on Tuesday while addressing the mammoth crowd of Imolites who graced his presidential rally held at the Kanu Nwankwo Sports Arena Owerri.
The LP standard bearer who stormed the Imo State capital with his wife, his Vice presidential candidate and other notable chieftains of the party assured that all states of the federation will enjoy adequate security if his party wins the coming polls.
He enjoined the people of the state and Nigerians, in general, to remain resolute in supporting and ensuring they vote for LP, in the February 25, 2023 general elections.
Obi also pledged to transform the nation into a country where young people will have gainful employment as well as be constructively engaged in governance.
Obi arrived at the venue of the rally at about 3:12 pm, promised to end the intermittent industrial actions in the country’s educational system at all levels assured that his administration would partner with the students and all relevant stakeholders in that sector.
“My government will sit down with lecturers and negotiate so that anything that has to do with strike is completely eradicated”
“Quality of education and health are the only ways to know and differentiate between a developed country and a non-developed country. So our administration will invest adequately in education and health and that will rub off well on security and other sectors of the nation,” he said.

Also speaking, Vice Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Dr Yusuf Datti Baba-Almed noted that the right time has come for Mr Peter Obi to be president of the country in order to salvage it from further degradation.
He restated that an LP-led federal government under Obi’s watch will definitely move Nigeria from a consumption to a production nation pointing out that “Nigeria must win the war by bringing power to where power is desired.”
The VP hopeful who solicited votes from Imo electorate stressed that Obi is making great waves in the Northern part of the country because of his character, capacity and competence as a tested leader.
Speaking earlier, Director-General of Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council Mr Doyin Okukpe reminded Nigerians that God has given them a son ready to serve and wipe away their tears by transforming the country.
He, therefore, urged Nigerians especially the younger generation to demonstrate their love for Obi as seen in the recent past by voting massively for Labour Party since his acceptability based on his character, capacity and pedigree is nationwide and beyond.
