The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has revealed the commencement date for the 2026 Batch A Stream I orientation program.
As stated by the NYSC, the three-week orientation will kick off on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at all 37 NYSC orientation camps across the country.
In a message posted on its official X page, the organization noted that camp registration will be open from Wednesday, January 21, until midnight on Friday, January 23, 2026.
The swearing-in ceremony for the corps members is set for Friday, January 23, while the closing ceremony will take place on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, advised prospective corps members to travel safely and avoid traveling at night as they head to their states of deployment.
The management also encouraged all participants to adhere closely to the orientation schedule to ensure a smooth process.
The NYSC orientation camp marks the beginning of the service year.
During this time, corps members engage in paramilitary drills, skills acquisition training, lectures on national issues, and cultural activities designed to foster unity and national integration.
