The Nigerian Volleyball Federation has released the results from Thursday’s grand finale matches held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
The tournament was filled to capacity by fans with excitement, and congratulations are in order for the top-performing teams that took part in the championship.
A total of twelve men’s teams and nine women’s teams competed in the event.
The defending champions, Nigerian Customs men who were the defending champions celebrated victory on a low key due to their poor performance in phase 1 of the tournament. However, the women’s team from Customs excelled, winning all eleven of their matches.
The final results from the tournament revealed that UCEM defeated Nigeria Police 3-1 with scores of 25-22, 25-20, 36-38, and 25-23.
COAS triumphed over Kano with a score of 3-2 after winning the first set 25-23, the second set 25-20, losing the third set 23-25, losing the fourth set 17-25, and winning the final fifth set 15-13.
In another match, NSCDC lost to Correctional Services 2-3, with set scores of 23-25, 17-25, 25-18, 25-21, and 15-17.

Sunshine was defeated by Customs 0-3, with set scores of 20-25, 16-25, and 17-25.
In a closely contested match, the Kada team edged out the Nigerian Airforce 3-2, with scores of 20-25, 25-23, 25-19, 19-25, and 15-10.
The Chief of Naval Staff team (CNS) secured a 3-0 victory against Offa, with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, and 25-19.
In the women’s matches:, Life Camp lost to Olalomi 1-3, with set scores of 25-18, 20-25, 18-25, and 29-31.
COAS defeated Benue 3-0, with scores of 25-18, 25-23, and 25-17.
Wikki lost to NSCDC 0-3, with set scores of 9-25, 11-25, and 17-25.
Anambra was defeated by Kada 1-3, with set scores of 25-13, 23-25, 23-25, and 22-25.
Customs also triumphed over CNS 3-0, with set scores of 25-23, 25-13, and 25-13.
