The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced the temporary suspension of its Warri-Itakpe train service, following technical issues that disrupted operations on Tuesday, July 15, and Wednesday, July 16, 2025, respectively.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the NRC expressed regret over the development, citing “unforeseen technical challenges” as the reason for the suspension.
The railway corporation said the measure was necessary to enable its engineering team carry out urgent repairs and ensure the safety of passengers.
“We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely apologize to all our valued passengers. Your safety and comfort remain our top priority,” the NRC management said.
