League Management Company (LMC), organisers of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), has rescheduled the matchday 30 fixture of Rivers United with Dakkada FC to Saturday, May 28, 2022.
The fixture which was fixed to hold on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, was adjusted to an earlier day by the LMC.
In a press release by the Rivers State-based club, the development was conveyed in a letter dated May 23, 2022, and signed by the LMC Chief Operating Officer, Mr Salihu Abubakar. The Trumpet Gathered
According to Rivers United, the LMC letter stated that all matchday30 fixtures, except Wikki Tourist vs Abia Warriors for Sunday, May 29, 2022, have been rescheduled to 28 May, 2022.

LMC’s letter reads in part: “Kindly be informed that due to fixture congestion and the upcoming midweek matches, all matches of the MD 30 [matchday30] fixtures have been rearranged to take place on Saturday, 28th May 2022, with the exception of Wikki Tourist vs Abia Warriors – Sunday, 29th May, 2022.
“Please ensure that all logistics are put in place for the match. Accept our best sporting regards,” LMC added.
Rivers United tops the NPFL table and sits five points above Plateau United after coach Abdu Maikaba’s side lost 2-0 in their last away fixture against Abia Warriors at the Enyimba Stadium.
