A top-ranking chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Emma Ejiofor, has thrown his weight behind Senator Ned Nwoko’s re-election bid. Speaking during an interview with journalists, Ejiofor declared that “nobody is contesting Senator Nwoko’s position with him,” insisting that the lawmaker remains unmatched in influence, performance, and political strategy.

According to the APC leader, any speculation about potential challengers is baseless and laughable. “Those shenanigans talking about opposition, we’ll show them we are miles ahead,” he said. This strong endorsement comes amid growing public interest surrounding Nwoko’s dramatic defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, a move that Ejiofor claims has redefined the political narrative in Delta North.

Ejiofor did not mince words when praising Nwoko’s impact at the National Assembly. He said the senator has elevated the profile of the Anioma people and brought credibility, visibility, and development to Delta North. “If you visit the National Assembly today, you’ll be proud to say you’re from Anioma. We have a colossus representing us, a man everyone respects,” he stated.

He credited Nwoko’s defection as the driving force behind the wave of political realignments in the region. “Make no mistake, those defecting to the APC did so because of Ned. Without him, they wouldn’t have moved,” Ejiofor asserted.

Describing Nwoko as a visionary and “a political AI,” Ejiofor emphasized that the senator’s problem-solving skills and strategic thinking make him a dominant force. “He’s a man who understands how to solve problems politically and practically. He’s not facing any serious competition in 2027 — not now, not later.”

Ejiofor also pointed to key developmental projects as critical reasons why Nwoko must return to the Red Chamber. Citing ongoing efforts to construct and complete vital infrastructure, he said: “Don’t you want to see the Oko-Patani road completed? What about the Idumuje-Ugboko dam? The Okpai power plant? The Ogwashi Uku dam? These aren’t dreams, they’re realities in progress. He must finish what he started.”

In a subtle jab at other politicians, Ejiofor criticized those who limit their constituency projects to “insulting” handouts like sewing machines and tricycles, stating that Nwoko is focused on long-term transformation. “Ned’s constituency project is not about tokenism, it’s about meaningful development.”

Ejiofor concluded with a powerful rallying cry: “Now that Delta North has a true voice in government, we must send him back to the Senate to finish all he has begun. This is beyond party lines, this is about leadership that delivers.”
