The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. (NNPC) has issued a stern warning to the public, particularly job seekers, to disregard any rumors suggesting that the company is selling employment slots. The corporation emphasized that it has no involvement in any such fraudulent activities and cautioned against falling victim to these schemes.
In a press release issued by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, NNPC categorically denied the claims, stating that these rumors are the work of fraudsters attempting to exploit unsuspecting individuals. The company made it clear that recruitment into NNPC follows a transparent and merit-based process, which does not involve the sale of employment slots or any form of financial inducement.

“NNPC is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity in its recruitment process. We urge the public to remain vigilant and not to be deceived by anyone claiming to sell job opportunities within our organization,” the statement read.
The corporation further warned that anyone who chooses to pay money to individuals or groups promising employment at NNPC does so at their own risk, as the company will not be held responsible for such transactions.
