The Nigerian National League (NNL) has officially approved the newly rehabilitated Makwada Stadium in Numan, Adamawa State, as the home ground for Adamawa United. This marks a major milestone for the club, which had previously been forced to play its home matches in Gombe and Bauchi due to poor facility conditions in the state.
The stadium’s rehabilitation was carried out by the Multi-Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP), a development that is expected to revitalize football in Adamawa and strengthen local sports infrastructure. Dr. Maurice Vunobolki, the State Project Coordinator for MCRP Adamawa, emphasized that the approval is a significant boost for the club, as players will now have the opportunity to compete in front of their home fans. He further noted that the project aligns with the Adamawa State Government’s broader efforts to develop sports and engage youth in productive activities.
