The management and staff of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) embarked on an awareness road walk and fitness jog in Abuja, to create awareness on the maiden edition of GITEX Nigeria 2025, taking place from 1–4 September, 2025
The symbolic walk highlights NITDA’s commitment to mobilsing national attention toward this landmark event, which will position Nigeria as a leading hub for digital innovation and collaboration in Africa.
The summit is a high-level forum bringing together policymakers, technology innovators, and global investors to shape the future of digital governance.
It will focus on the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence across public services, infrastructure, and policymaking, with participation from over 500 government officials and 40+ international speakers.

From 3rd – 4th September, the event transitions to Lagos, where the tech expo and future economy summit will be hosted at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre.
This gathering will convene more than 100 global tech leaders, 3,000+ professionals, and 100+ exhibitors to showcase innovations in AI, fintech, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies. Dedicated executive and investment tracks will provide a platform for forging strategic partnerships, exploring frontier solutions, and advancing Nigeria’s digital economy.
Through this awareness initiative in Abuja, NITDA reaffirms its dedication to driving broad stakeholder engagement in shaping Nigeria’s digital future.
