The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecasted a mix of sunshine and cloudiness from Tuesday to Thursday across Nigeria.
The agency disclosed this via a statement issued on Monday, 31st March, 2025.
According to the report, on Tuesday, the northern region is expected to experience sunny weather, with some cloud patches and isolated thunderstorms possible in parts of Adamawa, Kaduna, and Taraba States later in the day.
“The North Central region will similarly see sunny skies with slight chances of morning thunderstorms in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and surrounding states.
“As the day progresses, thunderstorms may develop in the FCT, Benue, Niger, Plateau, and Kwara States. In the southern region, morning thunderstorms could occur in Cross River and Akwa Ibom, with later chances of isolated thunderstorms in multiple states including Lagos, Rivers, and Delta,” NiMet said.
On Wednesday, NiMet predicts sunny, cloudy skies in the north, with isolated thunderstorms likely in parts of Kebbi, Zamfara, and others by afternoon.

The North Central region will see similar conditions in the morning, with potential thunderstorms later. In the south, morning thunderstorms are again anticipated in certain areas.
Thursday’s forecast suggests sunny weather in the north, with cloud coverage and possible afternoon thunderstorms particularly in Taraba.
The agency said the North Central area will remain primarily sunny, while the south can expect cloudy conditions, morning thunderstorms, and isolated storms later in the day.
NiMet has urged the public to stay hydrated and avoid excessive sun exposure, especially during peak hours.
Additionally, they recommend vaccinations for meningitis and infection prevention practices.
Airline operators are advised to consult specific weather reports for planning purposes, and residents are encouraged to stay informed through NiMet’s updates.
