The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has announced a forecast of sunshine and cloudiness across the country from Tuesday to Thursday.
In a weather outlook released on Monday in Abuja, NiMet predicted a sunny atmosphere for the northern region throughout the forecast period on Tuesday.
The outlook indicated that the central region would experience some cloud cover with a hazy atmosphere, along with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms in parts of Southern Kwara later in the day.
For the southern region, the forecast suggests sunny skies with occasional clouds, and the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by light rain in areas including Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Edo, Ekiti, Ondo, Imo, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Rivers States during the afternoon and evening.
On Wednesday, NiMet expects a continued sunny atmosphere in the northern region.
The North Central region may see some cloud cover with hazy conditions, along with potential isolated thunderstorms and light rain in parts of southern Kogi, southern Benue, and Kwara later in the day.
The southern region is also expected to have sunny skies with a few clouds, along with the possibility of thunderstorms and light rain in parts of Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Edo, Ekiti, Ondo, Imo, Abia, Anambra, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Rivers States.
On Thursday, NiMet anticipates a sunny atmosphere in the northern region once again.

The forecast includes some cloud cover and a hazy atmosphere, with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms in parts of Kwara State during the morning.
For the southern region, sunny skies with occasional clouds are expected, along with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms and light rain in parts of Bayelsa and Cross River States in the afternoon or evening.
The agency advises the public to take precautions due to suspended dust particles. Individuals with asthma or other respiratory conditions should be particularly cautious given the current weather conditions.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution while driving in the rain, and airline operators should obtain airport-specific weather reports from NiMet for effective operational planning.
