Sports enthusiasts in Nigeria have expressed their discontent with the remarks made by Atalanta manager, Piero Gasperini, who referred to Lookman as “the worst penalty taker.”
They deemed this statement inappropriate, emphasizing that in the pursuit of genuine sports development, an apology should be issued promptly.
Geraldx@godivaxgerald on his X handle said: “Let’s be real,
Lookman had no business taking the penalty, we should put sentiment aside and accept that he was wrong there.
“But his coach Gasperini, was also so wrong to openly make such statements about his own player. Hopefully they resolve it in private.”
