In a bid to reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imported fuel and achieve self-sufficiency in fuel production, entrepreneur, researcher, and inventor, Apostle Oghenejabo Taigbenu has invented fuel derived from trees.
Apostle Taigbenu, who hails from Erowha in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, disclosed this during an interview.
“I was motivated to research to invent fuel from trees to reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imported fuel.
“The fuel I invented from trees is environmentally sustainable and friendly because if produced frequently, it can reduce the impact of climate change on the earth and mostly Nigerians.
“It also cleans the engine. There is also no black soot that comes out of my fuel, unlike fossil fuels that destroy the environment,” he stated
The inventor noted that the fuel has been certified by the Nigerian Research Institute in Abuja, revealing that vehicles, generators, and airplanes can also use the fuel.
He added that “it is possible now to sell fuel I produced for N400 and still make good profits for investors and Taigbenu Oil and Gas Limited.”

He, however, lamented that it’s not easy doing business in Nigeria, and advised businessmen not to give up on the situation.
“Interested investors are already sending me emails, and Taigbenu Oil and Gas will get to the market soon.
“My company, Taigbenu Oil and Gas Limited, can produce cooking gas, and the best part of this is that after giving me a contract, you will never buy cooking gas from the gas plant. I can guarantee that. We have videos of jobs my company has done,” Taigbenu said.
He concluded that he sees his company playing a big part in the downstream sector of the oil industry for now, before starting oil exploration, saying that he fully understands the oil industry.
