The Federal Government has enhanced its relationship with the Republic of China, focusing on the exchange of ideas and fostering mutual understanding to ensure that African and Chinese narratives are recognized globally, especially as these narratives influence geopolitics.
During a seminar on the Promotion and Dissemination of the Contemporary World Nigeria Magazine held today in Abuja, Dr. Joseph Ochogwu, Director General of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR), stated that the magazine, launched in November 2022, serves as both a reflection and a connection for Nigeria-China cooperation.
He described it as “a mirror that illustrates the changing global landscape through African and Chinese viewpoints and a bridge that links diverse peoples and political cultures through dialogue, understanding, and shared development goals.”
Dr. Ochogwu further explained that the Institute’s partnership with the Contemporary World China is part of a broader strategic effort to enhance understanding and relationships between the two nations, as well as between Africa and China.
