Nigeria delivered a commanding performance, defeating a struggling Zambia team 5-0 in the quarter-finals of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco, on Friday night.
As a result, the nine-time African champions advanced to the semi-finals, where they will meet either South Africa or Senegal on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Copper Queens have been eliminated from the tournament.
The Super Falcons started strong, taking the lead just two minutes into the match when Osinachi Ohale scored, beating goalkeeper Ngambo Musole for a 1-0 advantage.
Nigeria doubled their lead in the 33rd minute with a goal from Esther Okoronkwo, assisted by Rasheedat Ajibade, making it 2-0.

After the restart, the Super Falcons continued their offensive. Okoronkwo provided her second assist of the match when Tosin Demehin scored with a header from her free-kick in the 68th minute, leaving Musole with no chance.
Folashade Ijamilusi capped off Nigeria’s 5-0 victory with a simple tap-in during stoppage time, following impressive play by captain Ajibade, who recorded her second assist of the game.
