Earlier this year, Jumoke Oduwole, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, encouraged public participation in the survey by inviting submissions and engaging with various stakeholders.

The survey has produced Africa’s first Digital Services Directory, which offers valuable insights into Nigeria’s rapidly growing digital economy and its potential to expand across the continent.

“I am excited to share the findings from this groundbreaking initiative,” said Oduwole. “This overview of 17 vibrant sectors gives us a clearer picture of our digital economy and the ambitions of those leading the way. Through this national survey, we’ve shown that Nigeria is not just joining Africa’s digital movement—we are playing a key role in shaping it.”

The goal of the survey was to identify Nigeria’s digital service providers, highlight important markets within Africa, guide national policy, and strengthen Nigeria’s position in the implementation of the AfCFTA’s Digital Trade Protocol.
