Nicki Minaj reacted to Trevor Noah after he made a jab at her friendship with President Donald Trump during the 2026 Grammy Awards.
In her response on X, Minaj used a homophobic term, implying that Noah should come out, claiming that “everyone in the industry knows who his boyfriend is. Allegedly.”
Noah, who hosted the event, joked about Minaj still being at the White House to discuss “very important issues,” which drew laughter and applause from the crowd.
This comment seemed to reference Minaj’s recent public endorsement of Trump, which has stirred controversy among her fans and critics.
Minaj had recently attended a U.S. Treasury event where she was presented with a Trump Gold Card, further fueling speculation about her political views.
Once known for avoiding explicit political affiliations, she has increasingly shown her support for Trump, leading to a split among her fanbase.

Despite receiving 12 Grammy nominations over her career, Minaj has yet to win an award.
Her most recent nominations were in 2024 for two categories related to a song from the Barbie soundtrack.
Following Noah’s comments, Minaj took to social media to criticize Democrats and defend her political beliefs against backlash from celebrities.
She openly proclaimed herself as one of Trump’s staunchest supporters.
Additionally, she referred to the Grammys as a “ritual,” stating, “As they perform their ritual tonight, God Almighty will reveal Himself to them.
“The ritual will backfire on them. God will not be mocked. Blessed is the MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. Every tongue that rises up against me in judgment shall be condemned and put to shame.”
