The Nigeria Football Federation has sealed a new commercial partnership with Sweet Nutrition Limited, makers of the fast-rising Mr. Chef food seasoning, naming the brand the Official Food Seasoning Partner of Nigeria’s national teams ahead of the 35th Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco.
The partnership, announced on Monday, underscores growing corporate support for Nigerian football as preparations intensify for AFCON 2025, scheduled to run from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. With the Super Eagles chasing a fourth continental title, the collaboration is seen as a boost to team morale and off-pitch support.
Under the agreement, Mr. Chef will align closely with the national teams throughout their AFCON journey, promoting themes of nutrition, unity and national pride while connecting with millions of Nigerian football fans at home and abroad.
Speaking on the partnership, the Head of Marketing at Sweet Nutrition Limited, RoopKumar Venkatesh, described the deal as a major milestone for the brand and an opportunity to support Nigeria on one of African football’s biggest stages. He said the company was proud to stand with the NFF and the Super Eagles as they prepare for the continental showdown.
The NFF’s Director of Marketing and Sponsorship, Alizor Chuks, welcomed the collaboration, noting that Mr. Chef has earned respect as a quality seasoning brand and would add value to the federation’s commercial drive. He expressed confidence that the partnership would enhance the Super Eagles’ campaign as they aim to reclaim the AFCON crown.
Also reacting, NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, said the partnership reflects shared values of excellence, resilience and national ambition. He described the Super Eagles as a symbol of unity for Nigerians and said the federation was delighted to welcome Sweet Nutrition Limited into its growing family of partners ahead of AFCON 2025.
