By Suru Charles

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has urged corps members posted to the state for their one-year mandatory service to their father’s land to embrace the Skills Acquisition Entrepreneurship Development Programme.

Kefas said this would enable the corps members to become employers of labour after their service year.

The governor made the appeal at the swearing-in- ceremony for the 2023 Batch ‘C’ steam 1 at the NYSC orientation camp in Sebri, Ardo-Kola council.

He said if the skills are well utilized, it would also discourage the idea of walking around the streets in search of white-collar jobs.

Speaking through the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Indo Markson, Agbu enjoined them to key into the array of training activities lined up for the orientation exercise.

Emphasizing that the orientation course is the gateway to the NYSC scheme, working hard to become self-reliant individuals, he believed has become necessary.
