Social media influencer Pamilerin Adegoke has come under heavy criticism online after calling for Nigerians to give President Bola Tinubu more time in office ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Pamilerin made the comments during a viral online discussion on X, where he described Tinubu as the “best option” currently available and argued that there is no strong alternative capable of unseating him at the next election.
He also urged Nigerians to be patient with the administration, stressing that meaningful governance reforms take time to materialize.
In his argument, he compared Nigeria’s political landscape, noting that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ruled for 16 years before losing power, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) has governed since 2015, including the eight-year tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
“PDP was there for 16 years, this man has only been there for three years. Let’s cut him some slack,” he said.
Pamilerin added that his position was driven by a belief in long-term development rather than emotional reactions or pressure from social media conversations.
However, his remarks sparked immediate backlash, with many Nigerians disagreeing strongly and accusing him of overlooking current economic challenges.

Critics pointed to rising inflation, high fuel prices, and increasing cost of living, saying these issues have worsened the hardship faced by ordinary citizens and small business owners.
One user, @Oluwanimidunsi, shared that a food business shut down due to rising diesel costs, expensive goods, and high rent, arguing that Nigerians have already endured years of economic difficulty under APC leadership.
Another user, @Didcreatman, accused the influencer of defending political figures for personal reasons, adding that many influencers fail to reflect the struggles of everyday Nigerians.
