The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a notorious drug kingpin, Ajetsibo Emami, popularly known as “Warri Kinsman,” in a major crackdown on his drug trafficking network in Lagos.
Ajetsibogho, who is the younger brother of former Niger Delta militant and politician Chief Ayiri Emami, was apprehended on Saturday, 28th June, in Ikeja following a meticulously coordinated three-day operation by NDLEA operatives.
The operation also led to the arrest of three other suspects linked to his drug cartel, according to Femi Babafemi, Director, Media & Advocacy NDLEA in a statement on Sunday.
He asserted that recovered from the network were 24 jumbo bags containing 681 pouches of Canadian Loud, a potent strain of cannabis, weighing a total of 414.2 kilograms. The seizure is one of the biggest cannabis busts in Lagos in recent times.
Babafemi stated that the bust followed credible intelligence that Emami was planning to move the large consignment of cannabis to the Lekki area of Lagos, from where it would be distributed to other parts of the state and across Nigeria.

The NDLEA has intensified its efforts to dismantle drug syndicates operating in the country, warning that traffickers will face the full weight of the law.
The Agency also intercepted cocaine consignments concealed in lipsticks and property title documents going to the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia respectively.
The illicit drug consignments were recovered from cargos being prepared for shipment at a courier company in Lagos on Thursday 3rd July 2025 by NDLEA officers of the Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) attached to the logistics firm.
A total of 420grams of cocaine factory fitted in 84 pieces of female lipsticks heading to the UK were seized, while 280grams of the same Class A drug were uncovered in a property title document (Certificate of Occupancy, C of O) being sent to Saudi Arabia.
