Popular TikToker, Praise Nwogu, popularly known as CandyTeddy, has been arrested for allegedly selling drug-laced brownies in Benin City, Edo State.

According to a statement from the Director of Media and Advocacy of the Nigerian National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Femi Babafemi, authorities confiscated evidence including 12 plates and a cup filled with brownies infused with illegal substances from CandyTeddy.

She gained fame on TikTok where she shares lifestyle content and videos.

Oghosa was found with 76 grams of skunk marijuana, 1.5 grams of Colorado (a potent narcotic), plus additional drug-laced brownies.

Babafemi said that incident highlights increasing concerns about how social media platforms are being exploited by young people to promote and distribute illegal drugs.

“Law enforcement agencies in Edo State are intensifying their efforts to combat drug trafficking and abuse, working to dismantle networks involved in these activities. Investigations remain ongoing as authorities seek to identify other individuals involved in this illegal enterprise” he said.
