Leicester City player Wilfred Ndidi has been valued at N19 billion following the relegation of the club from the Premier League, which allows the player to leave Leicester at the end of the current campaign.
The Foxes were the second team to be dropped from the English Premier League this season, trailing Southampton, after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at the King Power Stadium on Easter Sunday.
With four matches remaining in the season, Leicester City finds itself 18 points behind the 17th-placed West Ham United.
According to BBC Sport, Ndidi has a £9million (around N19 billion) release clause for relegation that became applicable nine days ago due to the Foxes’ demotion.

Despite significant rumours regarding a possible move to Everton last summer, the Nath Boys academy alumnus opted to extend his contract with the Foxes by signing a new three-year deal, effective until June 30, 2027.
Ndidi’s future again is set to draw considerable attention this summer as Leicester has returned to the Championship.
At age 28, Ndidi, who arrived at Leicester City from Racing Genk in January 2017, has been involved in 17 goals (seven goals and 10 assists) across 63 matches in all competitions over the past two seasons.
Among the players with the longest service in the present Leicester City squad, Ndidi reached an important landmark of 300 appearances for the club during the recent loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
