The maiden edition of the memorial national U18 tournament (NELKAN CLASSIC) continues to meet expectations at Package B of Moshood Abiola International Stadium, Abuja, as both the organisers and participants are pleased with the turnout in the event.
The tournament, hosted by Nelkan Sports Foundation in collaboration with the National Tennis Umpire Association (NTUA) / National Tennis Federation (NTF), is in honour of the late Adenekan Emmanuel who passed away on 29 January The Trumpet gathered.
Adenekan, a skillful tennis player, was a former National Junior Tennis Champion and also Nigerian Airforce personnel, who rose to the rank of a Master Warrant Officer (MWO).

As an MWO, Adenekan, during his time in active service to the nation, coordinated several Air Force operations to quell external and internal forces to protect the unity
