It was on the sidelines of a training for veterinarians, para-vets and community animal health workers.
The training, organised by L-PRES, is aimed at strengthening the capacity of frontline professionals in disease detection, control, eradication strategies and awareness creation on livestock diseases.
It also sought to enhance synergy among veterinarians, para-veterinarians and community animal health workers for a more coordinated and effective national response to livestock health challenges.
According to Asiegbu, animal health services in the country have recorded remarkable improvement in recent years compared to previous periods.
