National President of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA), Mrs. Mernan Oluyede, has reaffirmed the critical role of education in driving societal development, describing it as a catalyst for unlocking children’s potential.
She made this assertion during the inauguration of a state-of-the-art nursery and primary school at Gibson Jalo Cantonment, Yola.

Speaking through the Chairperson of NAOWA 3 Division, Mrs. Fibishola Abubakar, Mrs. Oluyede commended the collaborative efforts that led to the completion of the transformative project.
She lauded the vision and commitment of the Coordinator of NAOWA 23 Brigade, Mrs. Comfort Zawaya, and expressed gratitude to Brig. Gen. P. Zawaya, Commander of 23 Brigade, for his unwavering support in bringing NAOWA’s dreams to fruition.
Mrs. Oluyede encouraged the pupils to seize the opportunities provided by the new institution, urging them to embrace learning with determination and strive for excellence.

He described the newly commissioned facility as a beacon of hope, symbolizing a brighter future for the children of military personnel and the broader barracks community.
He also acknowledged the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, for his steadfast support in ensuring the project’s success.
