The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has announced its upcoming National Congress, set to take place on 29th November 2024 at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Delta State.
The invitation, signed by the NANS National President, Comr. Lucky Emonefe, GCNS, extends to all Nigerian students, Presidents of Students’ Union Governments, and key stakeholders in the education sector.
According to the statement, the top agenda for the congress includes; State of the Nation, as discussions will border on national issues affecting students and the country at large.
Also adoption of review of NANS Constitution will form a pivotal part of the Congress as deliberation and approval of proposed constitutional amendments to guide the association’s operations.

The communiqué emphasizes the importance of active participation, urging all invitees to contribute meaningfully to the deliberations.
Comr. Emonefe stressed that the congress will be a critical platform for addressing pressing issues affecting Nigerian students, reaffirming NANS’s commitment to advocating for students’ welfare and advancing their interests.
The congress promises to be a landmark event, uniting student leaders and stakeholders to chart a progressive path forward.
